I always found the coaching sessions extremely interesting and inspiring, and came away with plenty of useful ideas for implementation in the business. I think an important part of the coaching is the therapeutic benefit of being able to share one’s stresses and strains with an objective observer who has no vested interest in the organisation you are in. Also, as MD I found that I had no peer group, and it would have been all the more lonelier at the top without you to bounce ideas off!
