There is always a little trepidation when one launches a set of workshops across the country and so it was very gratifying to get some lovely feedback at the end of the evenings like … “I know what William is.. he's a battery charger” .. “Just what I needed to get me off my bum”… “Gave me lots of ideas”... The events went really well despite the temperature outside being below freezing and that Business Link did their "Survive and Thrive" workshops recently, which by the way seemed to deal with the practicalities rather than the basic challenge of "Getting the Mindset right".Here are three of the email messages kindly sent and they sum up the results… Morning William... I wanted to say again that I really enjoyed the session and was thoroughly enthused after it, so many, many thanks for that William ‘magic’!.. OK a few thoughts..... The workshop emphasis was very effective (ie. 1st half on mindsets / behaviour, 2nd half on practicalities). I think it’s fair to say that most people came along primarily for the former (getting enthused being a common theme), but I think most people got a lot out of the latter, so, I’d keep that format! The 2nd half was particularly effective when you got into the upstream / downstream expansion of product and service offerings. You could see people really starting to think about their own businesses and things they could do. Personally I think that that’s a significant area given the current recessionary times and many businesses would value that sort of expansion in their thinking. They were "Remember the 30 Correct "R" words", "the 8 Mindsets needed", "the 4 Areas of business growth" and "the strategy of Upstream, Downstream and Cross-stream business development". I will be developing all of these subjects in separate workshops in January and beyond.
